When I opted to write my second book “Perfectly Imperfect: Moving Above and Beyond the Pain, I was charged to make a difference through my writing, words, and actions – I was focused on helping survivors of all kinds but more specifically domestic violence. I recall a message delivered by Pastor Rouse continued to discuss moving forward and pursuing your God-given purpose. It was on February 14, 2016, when I heard him explain some of the reasons why many people waited to pursue their purpose and all of them were “excuses”. When I thought about my “excuses” – I recollect making so many when it came to establishing a nonprofit organization, and truth be told, I had a million of them, that is excuses. The truth of the matter was there would never be a perfect time for me to pursue my Mission, Purpose, and Passion.
Like you, God placed me on this earth for a reason! What are you willing to sacrifice in the name of doing God’s will for your life?
Are you willing to have people who say that they love and care for you, turn against you for the sake of doing God’s will?
Are you willing to lose all that you have to make your God-kissed mark on this earth?
How are you doing with moving towards your purpose? And away from the naysayers?
