This day, morning, and moment, I celebrate a milestone that has been no less than God-kissed, educational, empowering, thought-provoking, challenging and constantly evolving for Women of Virtue Transitional Foundation Inc. Today, February 25, 2017, marks the 1st year anniversary of our nonprofit organization.
As the Executive Director and Founder, I am honored and blessed to have the opportunity to pursue my purpose & passion, helping to fight Domestic Violence, support efforts that empower, educate, and encourage survivors, victims, and their families to move beyond surviving the circumstance to thriving. Through this organization, I have learned much about myself as a survivor and person, others who work so hard to fight the epidemic of Domestic Violence, offenders, survivors, children, and families affected by it and yet I find that I am continuously learning and evolving. Domestic Violence has taken many lives, broken many spirits and bones, taken away innocence, to say the very least. This day is not only in celebration of our small organization’s survival over this past year, but also for the opportunity to cross paths, partner, learn from, and encourage others than are in this fight with me.
To commemorate our 1st year anniversary, we will be hosting an event to raise awareness and funds to support continued community efforts and organizational growth. The event will occur during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, April 2-8 2017. Specific details are soon to follow…. Mark your calendars for April 2, starting at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. 🙂
We hope you will come out to commemorate our 1st year anniversary with us as we recognize National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (April 2-8 2017) in support of our organization’s mission and efforts. If you are not able to physically support, please consider donating to our organization at https://www.perfectly-imperfect-womenofvirtue.com/. All proceeds will be sown back into our organization and to support other organizations and programs that align with our mission.
In the meantime, please view some of the outreach activities and events were involved in last year (2016) below.
