Even when I walk through the darkest valley ….

About three or four weeks ago, faced with the fear of making decisions and answering the questions“Are you ready to make the changes in your life that God has in store for you? Or are you going to continue to remain stagnant and conformed to your life as it stands?” I could not decide whether it was God’s voice talking to me or my conscience. I later received my confirmation, yet again that it was indeed my dear Father God speaking to me and guiding me towards my purpose. The purpose and passion I had placed to the side for far too long. y faith in God is strong, but there are moments in time when my fear seems almost as strong. We often fear the unknown especially when the unknown has the ability to make major changes (good or bad) in your life. As Psalms 23:4 says ” Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid for you are close beside me”…

My faith in God is strong, but there are moments in time when my fear seems almost as strong. We often fear the unknown especially when the unknown has the ability to make major changes (good or bad) in your life. As someone that is used to status quo it is so much easier to stick with what you know than what you do not.

I have chosen to step outside of my comfort zone and break down barriers that driven by fear but with my faith in God, I will not fail.

For those of you who are in a similar situation, I say to you, surround yourself with God and a support system that will not only grow, support, nurture you and push you back up when you backslide. Further, I share these things:

  • Think with you spiritual mind
  • Allow God to guide you and have faith that in the end you will prevail
  • Know that you will inevitably go through a storm in order to reach the sunlight
  • Trust in God
  • Believe in your purpose
  • Read your bible and allow it to move you through your storms and challenges

I will be first to admit, my prayer life was one that needed revamping. When I prayed, I would often be reserved. Failing to talk to God as I would a dear friend or family member. I realized that it is many times that our Dear Father wants us to come to him to share the good and the bad. God is not a Father of season; therefore, he does not appreciate when we are a fair-weather child.

I love my God. He has taken me from many dark places and while I have backslidden so many times, he always had his hand outreached to pull me in and has forgiven me without conditions. It is through God I am able to face fear. It is through his grace, I am able to hold onto faith in him and myself.

Is your current situation questionable? Do you want and need more for you and your family – have that conversation with God and tell him all about it. Place faith in his abilities then look within and know you are a child of God and you are capable of being, doing, and achieving whatever it is God has planned for your life.

Step out on faith, trust and know he will never fail you. Step out on faith –
